So you ask why Wanda Byob?

Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad.

What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.

With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come.

                                                                                                                    Our food came out cold, we sent it back, came back not much warmer, sent it back again, still not hot enough. The waiter never came back to check on things, we had to get other workers to find him, etc. The omelette was overloaded with cheese, the toast was burnt, had to ask for butter. Do not recommend this place, will not go back.

                                                                                                                    I ordered off the restaurant week menu. The food was delicious but sparse. Had I known how little food I was going to get, I would have ordered off the regular menu. We spent over $100 for dinner and we had to go home and have a snack because we were hungry. I will never do that again.

                                                                                                                    Wanda never disappoints!! Service is always top notch and the food is excellent!! Even on a busy Saturday night; all staff was extremely attentive and the food courses are perfectly timed! We had a great time!

                                                                                                                    Wanda is always such a treat. The restaurant week menu was seasonally appropriate and everything tasted excellent. Our server Noah was attentive without being overly disruptive to our conversation and experience. We will definitely come back again!

                                                                                                                    Totally not what I expected. Wanda’s gives off a brunch-like vibe. So to have the food we ordered to be as AMAZING as it was and not be brunch food was. Impressive. It was a full house, but it wasn’t loud at all. The service was great. The owner came over and asked us how we enjoyed our meals, gave us the history of the restaurant and was just all around lovely to chat with. We absolutely will be visiting again. It’s a very cozy, friendly space with great service and AMAZING food!
