So you ask why Wanda Byob?

Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad.

What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.

With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come.

                                                                                                              Noah our server was wonderful kind and attentive. Chef Anthony came out and told us the specials his wife the hostess was so sweet and welcoming! The food out of this world from the appetizers to the entree’s! We’ve been here several times and will definitely be back again and again!

                                                                                                              First time here. We did Brunch to check out the look of restaurant. We heard good things about food but wanted to see for ourselves before we invited others to be our guests. We were not disappointed the food was really good and my wife described interior as cute. Will definitely be back for dinner. We will bring others with us.

                                                                                                              Dinner was wonderful. I had a lamb chop special. Only bad thing I can say is that our server forgot to come back to pick up our check so we had to wait close to 25 minutes which was annoying because we wanted to leave. Everything else was spot on.

                                                                                                              Unfortunately, this was not the experience we were hoping for. We came for NYE and the staff we’re friendly and nice. We did the tuna tower and foie gras to start. Tuna tower was good but the foie gras wasn’t dense like a true foie gras, and thus was disappointing. By the time we ordered our mains (two filet mignon), you could sense the staff were getting stressed and there were long delays in ordering and getting food. While my steak was cooked medium rare, my husbands was very rare - almost blue - and difficult to eat. Our server never checked in to see how the mains were and thus was unaware of the issue. Steal meat wasn’t exceptional, but the potato side was nice. Overall, disappointing for a special night - either because we didn’t order the right things or the staff were too overwhelmed by (I’m assuming) opening up the event room for more tables. Won’t be returning, but I hope it’s a one off as the staff seemed nice even if a bit inexperienced.
