Everything was wonderful. We celebrated our son’s 33rd birthday and the staff treated him like royalty. We ordered the appetizers, every side, and the list goes on. It was fabulous! The drinks were over the top. We will come back!

Everything was great. We brought friends who had never been there before and they loved it. The only "wish" I'd have is that the music not be as loud. The band was good, but it was hard to hear normal conversations -- and we were a good distance away. But thank you for a great night!

Second time we visited in less than a week and everything was perfect. The ceviche is LITERALLY the best I’ve ever had. Drinks are gorgeous and delish. Can’t wait to go back again!

My only hesitation in giving this place stellar reviews is that it will become more crowded. Simply some of the best service, food, drinks and ambiance there is. My girlfriend loved it and said best pasta (we had the bolognese) she ever had. One of the few places in the Midwest that you can find good lobsta rolls. The bar alone is worth the trip.

Delicious food and fantastic cocktails! An amazing ambiance and attentive, professional, and welcoming staff! Sarah took fabulous care of us and even brought a full array of desserts to celebrate our engagement anniversary! We love Watch Hill Proper!

I’m giving a low rating due to several factors. We were very much looking forward to this dinner after hearing great reviews from trusted friends. Unfortunately, it must have been an off night at the restaurant. 2 good things were the drinks and dessert - amazing! Our server was condescending and not attentive at all. We had to ask for silverware 4 times and finally after the appetizer arrived and sat for 5 minutes, we were accommodated. We never got app plates and used the bread plates vs waiting. The manager had to step in and assist twice during our dinner service. The ribeye is 28 oz so we shared the entree but unfortunately never received the mushrooms that came with until well after we were finished with dinner and getting a clean plate for sharing was difficult. The potatoes were very overcooked. The $180 ribeye was overcooked and had zero flavor. We were honest about that when asked how it was and the manager did give us a % discount. The discount wasn’t near enough for a terrible steak, but he tried nonetheless. Overall, not a pleasant experience and we should’ve stuck with drinks and dessert.

Watch Hill Proper is a must-visit for bourbon enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Their selection of bourbon is vast and impressive, offering something for every palate. The service was exceptional, with Chef Michael Crouch personally introducing the specials and checking in throughout the meal to ensure a top-notch experience. The mussels were delicious, and the special short ribs with brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection. Every detail, from the attentive service to the expertly crafted dishes, made for a fantastic dining experience and evening with friends. Highly recommended!

Everything was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit at Watch Hill Proper & will definitely be back. Sara was an amazing server & very knowledgeable.
