Well Hung Vineyard was started in 2008 by three women in Virginia! “Well Hung” is a well known term within the wine industry for robust grapes hanging low.

Well Hung Vineyard’s wine is sourced from California, Washington & Oregon. Five of our twelve wines have won medals in the last few months. Our Petit Verdot won best in class, out of 200 wineries a few months ago.

Come by and try out our amazing food, wines and cocktail selection from the beauty of our second floor patio, our grand second floor dinning room, or our white oak bar!

This just wasn’t good. I ordered the butternut squash pasta which had ok flavor and chunks of butternut but was so heavy. Literally it required some effort to move the pasta on my plate. Very dense. And it came with 1 thin slice of dry bread, not toasted, just dry. The food came out a little too fast to think there was much made to order about it. No bread for the table and no offer of additional parm in the dishes. The service being average. There was a table of 4 women with 3 visible bottles of wine on the table, that were extremely loud. Perhaps celebrating and having fun but general “whooping” in a restaurant is disrespectful to other diners. The staff ignored them and made no effort to minimize the noise. This is not a restaurant to which I would ever return. Thankfully the price was reasonable.

If you’re looking for cozy and comfortable, friendly and fun this is the place! All ages, 68/70 here, parents with a 6 yo, couples. Wide range of wine flights, great Old Fashioneds, wonderful desserts and dessert wines. Nice menu…not 5 Star dining but good choices. Not “bar food”! Chef is great for accommodating specific dietary needs. Thanks Brandon for your great service! We always put Well Hung on our list when we visit Charleston.

Our only complaint was that they were seriously overbooked; the only available table was a small round table by the entrance, right where people stood around waiting to be seated. The host tried hard to get us seated (several other parties with the same 6:30 reservation left without getting seated). We ended up eating at the bar, which really wasn’t bad at all, and the manager did reduce our final tab as a gesture of good will. Drinks were excellent and the food was great; definitely go for the charcuterie board appetizer and the braised short ribs.

Our table was ready at the reservation time. Food was excellent and affordable. Had a wine flight which is a great way to try the wines. Will definitely be back!

I had to send back a plate and glass with food in them. The service was poor and infrequent. Good food though. They could be more.

I enjoyed the shrimp cobb salad and my husband enjoyed the short ribs. Both reasonably priced and filling. I had a wonderful cocktail and my husband loved the red wine flight. We would visit again.

We were here on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was quiet and cozy. Hunter was our bartender and was great. He suggested the Red wine flight and we could mix and match to our tastes. We got 1 Cab, 2 Syrahs and 1 Petit which was perfect! Had just a light bite of beet salad and spicy tuna on cucumber rounds which was vey good. All good and we were happy with our visit and wil be back. Note to management: the soap and/or process used to clean glassware leaves a distinct taste - which was a bit offputting in trying to taste different wines. We noticed it on water glasses, wine glasses and coffee drink. It taste like the glassware is clean (yay!) but also a bit like soap.
