White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

My two daughters and I had a patio table but the cold weather led us indoors. Our hostess seamlessly located a much cozier indoor booth where we enjoyed an awesome dinner by the swag fireplace. It was busy but our server Chris offered exceptional personal service. Food was great! We’ll be back for sure!

The server seemed rushed and never asked about our food until we were finished. The $55 steak was raw in the middle and was left half on the plate. The shrimp and scallop dish was extremely salty and I love salt. We had to ask to refresh our waters twice. The atmosphere was beautiful but they need to do better with service and the kitchen as it did not meet expectations.

Very cute place, food was amazing along with the atmosphere. No complaints at all. Will defiantly go back.

Had a wonderful experience, delicious food, and great waitress. My husband just wished his pasta portion was a smidge larger but was very delicious!

This is a beautiful, impressive looking restaurant. Parking is limited. We went at an off time, so we were able to park. But I understand at busy times there’s only valet available. Food was good. I had wild mushroom toast, which I thought was just ok. My husband had a salmon Caesar, which he thought was very good. I had rice pudding for dessert, which was excellent, my favorite part of the meal. I felt the whole atmosphere was a bit cold. Our servers were OK. There were a few other servers, because different servers would bring out different courses, and they would set the food down in front of us, never look at us and walk away. It felt very inhospitable. A great restaurant is not just about food.

Wonderful place to have a lunch or dinner. Food is excellent and the staff and ambiance spectacular. Such a warm and inviting place.

Great experience, we love the ambience of the place. They made our 1)th birthday celebrations memorable! The crab cake and mushroom soup was the best. The burger was succulent and nicely made. Servers were smiling and attending with warmth. Overall great place, definitely recommend and we will be going back soon.!

We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the low noise level and the service was fantastic. Delicious dinner!

This new restaurant is still experiencing growing pains. The renovated rooms are pleasant enough but lack atmosphere. The wine list is very strange with most wines coming from obscure wineries and who cares if a wine is vegan? Finally, there were no pure chocolate desserts - a big faux pas. I won't be back for awhile.
