Named after the dainty white wildflower that grows plentifully in the fields of Dogmersfield Park, Wild Carrot effortlessly fuses countryside charm and simple but delicious cooking with a sophisticated dining experience. Under the guidance of Talha Barkin, the menu features staples of British cuisine. We love this place. It’s one of our go to restaurants for family events. Consistent, delicious food in a beautiful setting. With excellent service. Today was our first Sunday lunch experience and it didn’t disappoint. She ain’t cheap but she’s worth it!

The food in this restaurant is not what you expect for a hotel of this calibre. Our starters were good but both were salads so you can’t really go wrong with those, I had the chicken milanese which was so dry and bland, after a few mouthfuls I left the rest. I was offered a replacement dish but my partner was at the end of her meal. My partners truffle pasta was average at best. The chef came over personally to apologise and our meal was heavily discounted which was good but overall a disappointing experience considering we have been wanting to go to this hotel for a long time with the intention of staying here. Sadly the food is a let down and we won’t be going back anytime soon. Heckfield Place is far superior.

Lovely evening, staff were really good and looked after us. Food was of a very good standard, not a cheap evening, however worth everything penny.

I cannot recommend this restaurant, it is one of the most disappointing experiences I have had in a restaurant, especially one that is so expensive. The Sunday lunch was lukewarm at best, which is criminal not to serve hot food. The cleanliness of the restaurant was disgusting, . At the foot of our table was a big stain of what looked like strawberries or raspberries that had been dropped and not cleaned up properly. We could see under other tables that looked similar. We were sat next to a young family with a screaming child and very young children that were walking around the restaurant, unattended touching other guests! Admittedly that isn’t the restaurant’s fault. We went here for our anniversary and it certainly wasn’t romantic. All round really poor, the only redeeming feature was the service of the staff which was very good, but we certainly won’t be going back. I have had way better experiences at Toby carvery’s that is how bad the experience was.
