At the heart of the vibrant Tucson gastronomic scene is a quaint, family owned restaurant that has made a name for itself by combining the classical French education of Executive Chef Steven Schultz with the flavors of traditional southwest cuisine. Driven by the vision of casual fine dining that he shares with wife and Maudi Gourdin, the pair have managed to make The Wild Garlic Grill one of Tucson’s premiere destinations for food lovers from all walks of life. That all too familiar aroma of garlic will titillate your senses from the moment you step through the front door, followed instantly by the pageantry of Chef and his crew hard at work in the open kitchen where you can watch your meal as it is prepared. Our dinners were absolutely delicious and plentiful, and we were amazed at the number of “specials” offered in addition to their robust menu.

We will be back! There’s so much on the menu to try. Both of us had fish. Cooked well and it was delicious. We love the sides that accompanied with our meals. He had mashed potatoes. I had risotto. That along with heirloom carrots, and potatoes and, some sautéed spinach. It was delicious. We both had cocktails and they were lovely. It is a little more loud In the restaurant. But that was OK. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu. The weight staff was gracious and attentive, even though it was very busy in the restaurant

Been here many times before. I felt food was not as good. Caesar salad was overly dressed and had tomatoes and sweet pepper. Strange combo. Entree steak was good but veggies swimming in buttery sauce and cheese was overwhelming. Chocolate crème brûlée had no flavor and was clearly prepared hours before. Plus the lighting was like a diner not a relaxing restaurant. Disappointing

Patio is more quiet. Portions are HUGE - recommend splitting plates if you’re not a big eater.

I cannot say I enjoyed this experience....I had a similar experience 4 years ago, and decided to give it one more chance....I was not impressed....the server was cordial and efficient...We were not impressed with the food....very OVERPRICED.....the salads were good, altho my wedge did not taste like blue cheese dressing...humm....my husbands chicken had no taste....my daughter had beef medallions, only 6 pieces, cut in half....I had the sea bass, was good, but the other things on the plate were not very edible....I asked to take home my leftover sea bass, and when I opened the box the next day, the seabags was non existant...what happened to my food....Needless to say this over $200.00 meal was not like I hoped....We will not be back!!!!!

We ate outside in the front. It was way more quiet. The service was spectacular. The food was cooked to perfection.
