   Still the best fried chicken I ever had. I was so happy to know that they were open. It's a great location. I will go back over n over again

   Had an 11am reservation. Were seated immediately. Order taken promptly. Everyone had the chicken and I personally felt it was the best I’ve had. The spices were on point. The size of the pieces were markedly larger than we had experienced. So glad you moved to new location. So convenient to dine here adjacent to our Garden district hotel.

   BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER. Beware of the bill: ordered a gin and tonic and when the bill came they charged $12 for the gin, $3 for the “rocks” and $1 for the tonic. When I questionned the charges, they said it’s a bigger pour. I didn’t ask for a bigger pour. Evidentially, the manager took the rocks and tonic off the bill. Otherwise, great food.

   The food at Willie Mae’s was good, however I was not impressed with the customer service. I have had better experiences at other restaurants in New Orleans.

   2pc dark meat fried chicken was moist, had the most incredible crispy yet delicate fry, and a bit spicy. The jambalaya orzo was tomatoey and delicious. The butter beans and rice was also good (I thought it could have used more seasoning but my partner disagrees). The freshly squeezed lemonade was sweet and refreshing.

    Not an example of excellent friend chicken. It was so spicy it was inedible and it didn’t indicate it was that spicy. In addition it was dry and overcooked. What was worse was the service. So bad, we got food before drinks and had to repeatedly ask for water. It felt like we were an inconvenience.
