   Great fried chicken. They were out of gumbo and deviled egg appetizer on a Monday night but we still enjoyed it. Visited for the fried chicken anyway. Bartender Christian was very nice and talkative. Would definitely go back.

   Started off well, ended not so well. The ambiance was great. We wanted to like the food, but they were sold out. We were told they were making more, but it apparently not so much. When we asked about alternatives, we were told it was an uncharge. The catfish was good, chicken was cold, creamy grits were delish, eggs were overcooked. Music was a vibe.

   Some of the best fried chicken ever. The service was great even with a packed restaurant. Truly a classic New Orleans restaurant. Happy she has decided to reopen in this new location.

   Chicken was good but a bit greasy. Service very disjointed. We were served our entrees less then 10 minutes after ordering and before drinks and appetizers. We were told kitchen called the shots but entrees were sent back as cold. Would not go back. Plainly wait staff is not properly trained at all.

   Everything was fabulous, but he chicken (I ordered a 1/4 dark) had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a time -- still OK, but NOT fresh fried. Where have the greens gone? Green beans are a poor substitute.

   The food was just as good as the Treme location. The restaurant does not feel authentic to me. I spoke with the owner, Carrie, they are doing their best to get back home!

    So it’s been about 6 yrs since I’ve been back to NOLA - each time I went in the past, I would get chicken at Willie Mae - found out the house had a fire about 6 months back and they’re in a gorgeous space for now…chicken remains the best of any chicken anywhere….hands down.
