“This Must be the Place”

What's a Wolf Peach, you say? Well, it’s an interesting story.

What we know today as the tomato was first grown as a crop by the Aztec Indians. Spanish explorers brought the tomato back to Europe in the early 1500s.
In England and Germany, they were initially regarded as ornamental, but poisonous, a “wolf peach”. This is because aristocrats experimented with the tomato, but it ended badly—not due to the fruit, but because it was eaten on pewter dishes. Apparently, acids in the tomato leached the highly toxic lead in the pewter dishes, and caused illness and even death in many cases. The “common” folk, however, typically ate on wooden dishes, and had no problem!

Wolf Peach is a place for all of us regular folks. A little uncommon, a little unexpected, a little special. A place for everyone and anyone to enjoy a good hearty meal, scratch-made from Chef Luke Ostrowski.

Wolf Peach had become a regular stop for us. Jeff and his staff just do a great job of creating a welcoming atmosphere paired with a very nice menu. From the WP Ricotta to scallops in creamy polenta or a wonderful gourmet burger…fun selections. Add a nice wine list and great bar service. A Parker gem!

Despite all restaurants charging more and more, Wolf Peach Public House is deserving of your attention. The attention to flavors doesn’t miss. The team at WPPH hits on all cylinders to earn 5 stars across the board.

We hadn't been to Wolf Peach Public House before and decided to try it out for my wife's birthday. We went on a Wednesday night and were one of only a few customers at around 7:30. It was quiet, clean, and great ambiance. Everything on the menu sounded tasty so we probably over-ordered and left full with leftovers. Everything we had was packed with unique flavors and did not disappoint. We will likely return to try some of what we didn't get to taste this visit. We spoke with the owner and he said the menu changes throughout the year and by season so we look forward to seeing what is new on the menu the next time we dine. Aside from the cost everything was wonderful, however, what isn't expensive these days? That said the prices were affordable acknowledging you're going to a more upscale restaurant.

Went to Wolf Peach for dinner and as soon as I walked in they greeted you with a smile . Great costumer service great food . Will definitely go back .

I stopped by after visiting a brewery in the same shopping center. Did not know what to expect other than they had reserved dining. The drink selection was great. They have a small but very well thought out craft beer selection on top plenty of good spirits on hand and a very interesting wine. Dessert choice. The main course itself was very presentable and delicious. One of the best scallop plates I’ve had in a long time. Definitely wanna come back and try more things off the menu.

The food was absolutely delicious! Lamb was soft, falling off the bone. The scallops were seared and cooked perfectly. Drinks were great. However it is in a strip mall which really takes away from the experience. The interior feels more like a sports bar, so the food cost doesn’t fit the feel. There are shades which I think should be pulled down at night to at least disguise the neon lights from the adjacent pizza joint and liquor store. I’m really picky about ambiance, so I’m not sure id go back given the high food prices

My husband and I had an early dinner for NYE at Wolf Peach & could not have been more satisfied. We started with a selection of cheeses - I could have just eaten cheese all night. We then moved on to the wolf peach ricotta, beets, and brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had & I eat them a lot! The ricotta was delicious and the beets were light & refreshing. I got the bolognese as my main & the veggies were so perfect with the sauce. They had so many vegetarian options to choose from, I left with an incredibly full stomach. We got the carrot cake to-go for dessert & it was just the cherry on top. Our server was very attentive throughout dinner. She did a great job of timing the dishes as they came out. All in all, we will definitely be back!!!
