One of the best experiences! The food was so good and fulling. So tasty and unique. Ana the manager was so great and very welcoming. I would definitely come back again …

We went to the Valentine's prix fixe; the food was good but the service was very poor. We were seated quickly but did not see a server for 20 minutes; it was 45 minutes before our first dish came out. Of the five dishes on the menu, the first three then came within 10 minutes of each other (out of order, and we had to remind our waiter that we were missing a dish). Then there was another drought of about 45 minutes until our last two dishes arrived. Our waiter/server never checked in with us, and honestly we barely saw him on the floor the entire night. Foodwise, everything but the dessert was very tasty. Service was terrible, though, especially for a night like Valentine's when you are hoping for something a little nicer.

The food is creative, beautifully presented and delicious there. The hamachi was unbelievably delicious and they also serve a unique dessert- cheese with poached fruit that is fabulous!

food and service was amazing and the ambience was so lovely with great lighting. feels cozy but also fancy. i loved how the noise level was low that i could have conversations without any stress.

Great meal. We shared all the plates and every single one was a hit. This was the first time I have mixed sushi and a burger in the same meal and it totally made sense. The lighting and decor are slightly off. But the overall experience is five stars.

It was a Saturday evening date night with a nice dinner followed by a live jazz show. A new restaurant that we had never been to before and we absolutely loved it. The first thing we noticed were the menu items, very unique, with a Mediterranean and Japanese influence. The next thing we noticed was the service and immediate connection we had with our waiter Kevin. He took the time to share the details of the menu offerings and answering all of our questions while we tried to decide on our choices. In the end we took his advice and ordered several of the dishes he suggested and they were really fabulous, great flavors, really fresh seafood and just a wonderful experience. The wait staff were all very friendly helpful as well. We will return again soon to XeBec to try some of their other available menu options.

All was super. Great interesting dishes. Ambiance very good except for noise level. Aware people judge noise level as validation of a fun time. At age 83, I want to be able to hear my dining companions.

Great to have a new option in the neighborhood before SF Jazz. Charming newcomer w/lovely ambiance; welcoming, helpful staff; excellent cocktails; and an incredibly diverse, interesting, well-executed menu -- reasonable prices as well. The proverbial "what's not to like?" All 4 of us liked it a LOT and will definitely be back.
