Went on Valentine’s Day, and the experience was absolutely terrible. Our expectations are lower on Valentine’s Day, but the restaurant was not that crowded and what we experienced was unacceptable.
They brought out our appetizer, and then we had to wait an hour for our food to come out. The table beside us who arrived after us recieved their main and dessert much before us. When they brought us our steak we asked about the pasta we ordered and it seems they forgot to bring it to us. We told them not to bother bringing it because we were not going to eat pasta after having steak. The steak was very cold (probably sat there for a while) and it was cooked rare instead of medium rare, so they took it back to finish on the grill, but it was not good after being put back in the grill once it cooled down so much. The waiter was apologetic and offered free dessert which was nice of him.
The worst part was that they made us pay a deposit of $100 for our table weeks in advance. I confirmed on the phone that we would get refunded the deposit if we paid with gift cards and the amount of our bill was lower and didn’t cover the whole deposit. We had $300 worth of gift cards and our bill with tip was $326 - they refused to give us back the remainder of the deposit claiming it was their policy to not refund deposits. It did not matter that we were told differently over the phone, and it didn’t matter that the service was already terrible and our experience was ruined. If they went against their “policy” it would have at least made the night a little better for us because it would show they actually cared about their customers. Now we are stuck with a gift card to an over priced restaurant that clearly doesn’t care about customer service or quality of food.
