                                                                        We enjoyed the hummus appetizer with vegetables and pita slices and creme brulee. Then we had 3 different and very delicious entrees: ahi tuna salad, carbonera, and trout. All were artfully presented and very tasty. Our waiter Kevin did a great job of bringing things to us hot.

                                                                        Met a friend for lunch at a busy time but they found private booth for us, both our salads were generous and delicious, (chick and salmon), service was attentive but not intrusive, and environment was lively but not overwhelming. Very good experience, and a favorite as a result.

                                                                        I was taking my close girlfriend out for her birthday lunch. We have dined here many times before and today did not meet expectations. Our server checked in, but then we had to track down someone else to actually take our order. I think they were overbooked and understaffed now that it’s December. I ordered a new grilled scallop salad that was absolutely delicious, but I had no idea it was $40 until I got the bill. The standard salmon salad ordered by the birthday girl came undercooked. My friend had specifically ordered it cooked through, not medium rare. It took 10 minutes to track down our waitress send back the salmon and another 10 minutes for a fully cooked piece of salmon to be returned to our table. In the end, the service was what ruined what should have been a very memorable lunch. While the food is always good, if it’s not executed skillfully, it’s a huge disappointment. The prices keep going up and the service keeps going down.

                                                                        Having a hearing impaired party member, we dined at 4:00 pm when dinner service began. The background music was turned down at our request. The service and food were excellent, with a couple of minor favors granted. For our special circumstance the “off peak” visit was very enjoyable.

                                                                        We have spent several Thanksgiving’s at Yaya‘s when we chose not to go out of town to see our children. We had fond memories of the wonderful buffet. It may be because we came late in the day. Our reservation was at three but the meat seemed chewy and underdone. The turkey was not good because he didn’t have a choice of non-smoked and some of the vegetables were really unappetizing. I’m sorry to say this because we’ve always loved coming there on Thanksgiving Jean Milofsky.
