   Fabulous meal, both mine and my husbands food was tasty, plentiful and fresh, we’ve never been to this restaurant before but will be revisiting again as soon as possible. It was New Year’s Eve so very busy, but the service was fantastic, attentive without been intrusive and very kind. They even told us not to order a starter as you are given some delicious Turkish bread and a spicy dip so a starter wasn’t required. We really enjoyed our visit and will recommend to all our family and friends.

   A year ago we came to York and tried Yakamoz, we loved it and promised ourselves we would go again the next time we were in York, which we did, and it was still amazing! Really lovely atmosphere and friendly service from all the staff and the chef too, overall a lovely experience. We will come again!

   Food was mediocre. Definitely not freshly prepared. Having eaten many meals in Turkey in many places plus restaurants in England this was a poor experience in comparison. Generally friendly service though and the Kavakladere white wine was nicely chilled.

   We chose to celebrate our anniversary at Yakamoz because we love Turkish food, having holidayed in Bodrum many times, However we found the dishes very disappointing, The Ali Nazik, chopped pieces of lamb fillet was tough and gristly, the smoked aubergine and yoghurt sauce uninspiring. The Yakamoz Mixed Grill was mainly chicken and the lamb chop tough and fatty. The menu prices on the website have actually increased by £5.00, so not value for money!
