Yalla is a neighborhood Mediterranean smokehouse from the Sesame Collective restaurant group. Opened in summer of 2020, Yalla brings a Mediterranean smokehouse to the heart of the Multnomah Village neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. With a menu of smoked meats, seasonal vegetables, and comfort dishes, Yalla is currently open for delivery, take out, and full service dining. Yalla is helmed by Chef/Owner Kasey Mills and Chef de Cuisine Daniel Valley.

Staff was extremely attentive and accommodating to my nut allergies. All of our food and wine from starters to entrees was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere was tremendous too.

Absolutely wonderful meal. The smoked lamb ribs and the pastrami were seriously amazing! The hummus with burnt ends, the sautéed greens with pine nuts and raisins, the roasted carrots were all truly delicious. Service, ambiance, music, really, everything was perfect. We will be back!

Had the seasonal squash dip and loved it. Same for the roasted Delicata squash, absolutely delicious. Also liked the ribeye steak. Lively and attentive service. Yalla and its sister restaurants really doing it right, even though each one unique. Always a good experience and a great meal.

Not the typical seafood or steak on the menu. Come for some new flavors and share some items with your table. Very nice setting, good service and the food comes out quickly. Made to order, so it is fresh and hot. Whether you are a carnivore or vegetarian, you will be satisfied.

In the past, we have loved all of our experiences at the Sesame collective. Last night we went to Yalla and we’re pretty disappointed. My entrée was burnt and both of pur entrées and appetizers had way too much salt on them. I understand that the restaurant was pretty busy last night, but felt like the service was extremely slow and the attitude was as if they were doing us a favor by waiting on us. We will continue to visit, but will probably shy away from Yalla.

This was an amazing meal and the reviews for a "great date night" restaurant were spot on. Everyone at our table of 4 loved all 7 dishes that we ordered. Excellent food and not your typical mediteranean fare. The pastrami and rib eye - SO GOOD. The cornbread - WOW. That radicchio - DELISH. My only issue were the tiny portions. Yes, it's meant to be family style and all that and they typically bring out one thing you ordered at a time to be shared. But for the price of each dish, the small plate that comes is almost laughable. The sides are sometimes priced as if they are a main dish and yet still, one spoonful per person. I definitely expected a little more of a bowl full of the pasta (cavatelli), which was also so good. But it's pasta! Typically a heftier dish was delivered on a dessert plate. Comical to even divide among the 3 of us that were eating it. So, it's a once in a while delectable night out at those prices. Service is fairly slow, so be prepared to be there for 2 hours +.

What an enjoyable experience. We sat in the dining area where the service was very nice and all the food and drinks were incredible. We will certainly be coming back to try more of everything with others.
