YAO pays culinary homage to the vibrant Yaowarat neighborhood in Bangkok, an ancient Thai-Chinese community.

As you can imagine, the neighborhood is a paradise for food lovers because this cultural blending has created some of the most delicious eats on Earth. Spicy, crunchy, tangy and delectable dishes are handed down over many generations.

We created this restaurant to have the look, feel and tastes of Yaowarat, and we cant wait to share our food with you! Once more, we welcome you and yours to YAO.

                                                                                        I don’t even know where to begin….the pot stickers were ok, the miso soup was HORRIBLE!!! The sushi was awful. We are 4 in our party and the only thing that tasted good was the salad. Def not returning. I’d like my $216 back.

                                                                                        Exactly what I was hoping for and expected. Service was excellent, they brought me the incorrect meal but corrected the mistake promptly and the food was DELISH! Hope to go again soon. The ambiance was super chill, drinks were delicious and beautiful as well.

                                                                                        This was my first time at Yao. I received an email reminder that said the dress code was "business casual". So I bought a new sports jacket for my first date. When I got there, I saw people in jeans so that bothered me that they didn't dress to code and were allowed inside. Anyway, the food was good but a overpriced. It didn't taste any different than if I were to buy it at a cheap chain Chinese restaurant. The meal cost me $170 (after the tip) just for Mongolian beef, calamari, spring rolls, water, tea and a salmon dish with white rice. The waitress was attentive, the staff was professional, the ambiance was pleasant but the music was a little too loud which made conversation a challenging. I probably won't return because I have so many other choices for Chinese food that won't cost an arm and a leg but it's a great place to go if you want to impress your date.

                                                                                        A group of us went and ordered from Yao’s date night menu and everyone was really satisfied. All of the food was amazing and we had a great experience. The ambiance was also great.

                                                                                        The staff was accommodating for our party of 6 which was originally 5 so that was nice. The food wasn’t the best though. It wasn’t really seasoned, not very many food options in my opinions for an Asian fusion restaurant and the sushi was not fresh. The ambience was nice and the drinks were OK. Overall, I would not be back unfortunately, although I really did want to like this restaurant.
