We had a wonderful omakase dinner at Yukashi and greatly enjoyed Chef Izutsu's warmth and humor. He and his staff prepared a delicious tasting menu with seasonal ingredients from various regions of Japan. Sitting at the counter and interacting with Chef Izutsu while he prepared the meal was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. The food and service were both excellent, and we would highly recommend Yukashi.

balanced flavour profiles of each dish and the chef is extremely conversational and informative about the food. his staff is extremely sweet and professional as well.

Intimate, elegant, innovative, skillful, tasty. We celebrated a birthday and 25th wedding anniversary there. The chef adjusted the dishes to accomodate the allergies and food preferences of one of our group. Opentable described the seating as countertop but it is probably better described as chef’s table, as we were seated right in front of the chef as he was preparing the food. The display was impressive and was a significant part of the experience. The food was exquisitely presented with a myriad of colours, textures and flavours. The chef and staff were very welcoming, attentive and respectful. We enjoyed the 9 course tasting menu, together with the matched sake pairing.
