Our visit was a NYE dinner. Prepaid pri fixe menu. Food was ok but not up to the level of the 3 prior restaurants we dined in. Our major complaint is that there was an attempt to charge us for food we had paid for in advance (required when we booked on Open Table) - I had to prove I had paid! They relented once I showed the charge. But I think a lot of guests might have been double charged. Check the bill. Other than that service was very good.

We tried Zumo after getting a flyer for a free drink with dinner. The menu is a good mix of fish and meat with a variety of appetizers and salads. The apps and food we ordered were all tasty and very well prepared. The medium rare ribeye was perfect and the short ribs and octopus were great! The staff was friendly and professional but the service was a bit uneven. We were there over a holiday week and things do tend to get busy. I would return and recommend to others.

Superb tasty innovative food, friendly staff. We sincerely hope Zumo succeeds and has a long run as Puerto Vallarta needs intimate restaurants of this high quality.

Excellent dinner. I had the short ribs - one of the best meals during my 2 week stay, My wife had fish of the day, daughter had the shrimp pasta. All fantastic. Service and ambiance also excellent. Highly recommend

They’re still trying to work it out. Great food presentation, but three out four meals undercooked. It’s so bright inside making the ambiance feel like a bar that turns on the lights when they’re closing. Service was not inviting. Waiter couldn’t answer questions about meal ingredients and took my first tea glass away and never offered anything else. The restaurant on a Saturday night was 10% full. They could be great, but need to refocus on their mission.

We had an excellent meal at Zumo. The pork croquettes were delicious. The mushroom risotto entree was so good as was the shrimp pasta. We really enjoyed our meal a lot!

First off, the food was terrific….very interesting mix of Spanish tapas like appetizers and regular main entrees that were really good and different. Most importantly they accommodated more vegetarian options for our group than on the menu and the service was remarkable. The owner is there or his wife every night apparently…great value…good Tequila Mule drink as well!!
