Well known and loved for wild game, steaks and seafood, Rainbow Lodge features lunch, dinner & Sunday brunch. Owner Donnette Hansen's attention to detail is reflected in everything from the comfortable refined log cabin setting & landscaped grounds to the seasonally changing menus. Insider's tip: go for the business lunch ($19 for three courses). Sophisticated but not stuffy! Menu hits include elk chops, grilled buffalo tenderloin, Lodge smoked duck gumbo. Do not miss the famous TIED FLY BAR! with its crafted cocktails and views of an acre of grounds, the bar is the most popular seat in the house.     Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving. Food was exceptional. The service was well beyond expected. I just love this place. If your looking for a option to your standard steakhouse for either a family or business meal, put this into your rotation. Everyone will find a gem to enjoy on their menu.

    I’d heard a lot about Rainbow Lodge through the years so was looking forward to dining there since I never had. Unfortunately, my experience was most unenjoyable. We went for Thanksgiving, and perhaps that was the mistake. I selected the wild game trio for my appetizer and the bison was all gristle. The other two in our party that ordered the same didn’t have the same experience. Their meat was good. I also ordered the turkey and dressing dinner (it was Thanksgiving after all) and it was mediocre at best. The pecan pie dessert was good as was the fried oyster appetizer we ordered. The main issue was the lackluster service. We spent a lot of time sitting around waiting for a plate for our appetizers, steak knives for our meat, forks for our dessert, etc. All of these should have arrived prior to the food arriving. It definitely felt like our server would rather be anywhere but the Rainbow Lodge. It also felt like he was a new hire or temp because he wasn’t trained on proper service (how to place items on table, etc). It makes me sad because I really wanted to love this experience.

    We have made a habit of coming to Rainbow Lodge on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. That takes the pressure off of worrying about if our turkey is dry or not. You see after you have an incredible meal at Rainbow Lodge you can relax knowing you have already had a great meal. I had the Halibut special which was not only tasty but felt very homey. The fresh peas and creamy mashed potatoes reminded me of pub food but so much more upscale. Thank you Rainbow Lodge for such a memorable Thanksgiving Eve dinner! Thanks Rainbow Lodge!

    Good food. Our waiter, Jeff, was absolutely great; friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Dining room was quiet.

    The food was delicious, the service was great, the place was beautiful, and it is in a memorable natural and unique setting. Would happily return.
