Set in the historic, 19th century Athenaeum Building downtown, The Rathskeller is reminiscent of both a quaint inn tucked in the Bavarian hills and a lively beer hall in Munich. May-October we have live music in our outdoor Biergarten Thursday-Saturday nights. It is 21+ area and does allow smoking. November-April we have live music inside in our ballroom and it is all ages unless otherwise specified. There is no smoking inside. Bands range from local cover bands to national rock and country.

Great celebration for my parents 60th anniversary. The food was good…beware of some of the mustards they can clear your sinuses. Loved the old world feel of the restaurant…though a large space it has a European charm. It had been many years since my last visit but I think we will add it back on as a fun night out option.

We told our server we were going to a show and he went above and beyond to get out food out in time! I always go there before shows at the Murat.

Our group was four ladies. We were welcomed warmly and served quickly and efficiently. Our server was very engaging and on top of our needs. I wish I could remember her name to give her special kudos. We will definitely return.

I have been going to Rathskeller for many years. Today the food and service was poor. Both me and my friend sent back our Tuna steaks that were overcooked. My steak fries were not hot. They were made in advanced and sat around. My sugar snap peas were not hot. The recook on the tuna was perfect but I was given the same cold sides. They did not order the correct mustard. She offered to bring us some horseradish which she never did. We were given one partially filled soufflé cup of mustard for three pretzels. The server had too many tables so we had to eat without service or very delayed. I never ate my sides. I was also given the wrong type of beer which she ended up taking off the bill. If I had service, I would have asked her to replace it.
