Rat’s Restaurant is the perfect dining destination. Named for the fabled entertaining character in Kenneth Graham’s children’s classic, The Wind in the Willows, Rat’s Restaurant is designed to give visitors the sense they have stepped into a village reminiscent of the impressionist painter Claude Monet’s beloved town of Giverny. Rustic fireplaces, country French cuisine, seasonal hand-crafted cocktails and an eclectic beer and wine list are just the beginning. Regarded as one of the most romantic and beautiful restaurants in our region, Rat’s was named Philadelphia Magazine’s “Most Romantic Restaurant. The ambiance is amazing- so charming. It makes dining there a memorable experience. The menu is limited but acceptable. The service is excellent. It is pricey., but it’s offset by the “specialness” of Rat’s.

Great NYE dinner. Website was confusing (said restaurant was closed and New Year's link didn't work) and no one answered the phone to confirm. Otherwise great.

Our server provided excellent service and ensured my wife and I enjoyed a nice memorable annaversary dinner. The restaurant has awesome ambiance that provides a unique experience with an upscale feel.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on New Year's Eve in a beautiful place! A bit more than we'd usually spend for a lunch out. Service was excellent

Disappointed with portion size, presentation and menu options. I was told the frittata was premade so they couldn’t withhold one of the ingredients… The Belgium waffle looked like it could’ve been served at waffle House, alone on a plate with three metal cups containing butter, whipped cream, and jam. every time the waiter filled our water glasses. The pitcher leaked down the side, so there was water all over the table. Not what we were expecting for the cost.
