We had a great night at Red Salt, just like always. Jojo was great, helping us get one of our old favorites done to perfection. We love this restaurant- it is our favorite - and will be back again soon!!

Had a reservation but arrived early and sat at bar to have a drink before being seated at a table. The bartenders were busy but took time to recommend sushi and main courses. Their service was attentive but not intrusive. We decided to give up our table and eat at the bar. We enjoyed our sushi, ahi entree, lobster gnocchi, and shared the bread pudding. If one thing could be improved, I would suggest dimming the fluorescent/LED lights under the bar for dinner service. The lighting looked “cheap” and this is not a low-end restaurant.

Skip this tourist trap. So many better places on Kauai. It’s in the lobby of a hotel. Overpriced food, unhelpful staff, Worst dining experience of all the islands.

Food was really good even if it tried too hard on a few dishes. For example, the burger was excellent but the lobster on it was overcooked and gratuitous. Drinks were good but the Mai Tai was all pineapple juice.

Our server was fantastic, host/hostess experience was chaotic and food was fine but some of the dishes were disappointing compared to past visits. Still a great experience.
