Located in downtown Los Angeles, Redbird is carved into one of the city’s most historic edifices, inside the rectory building of Vibiana – a premier wedding, events and performing arts venue. Chef | Owner Neal Fraser and Owner | Operator Amy Knoll have crafted a beautifully dynamic restaurant space within which to enjoy Chef Fraser's critically acclaimed Modern American menu. Wine Director Christopher Dugan’s wine list is well-rounded with great finds from both established and emerging regions throughout the world. Bar Director Tobin Shea's cocktail offerings feature well-balanced, bespoke renditions of the classics, as well as inventive and inspired originals. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available for brunch, happy hour + dinner.

The Main Dining Room offers open air dining under our retractable roof with views of the Vibiana bell tower and the upper balconies of the rectory building. The Lounge offers dining tables along the banquette and windows overlooking 2nd St.

Visited Redbird for the first time after many years driving by and seeing all the cars parked out front! Much to my amazement I can now see why… the items we ordered were extremely delicious…. The Avocado Salad is a STAR…. The Grilled Prawns exceptional… the Pork Chop as advertised was also good but wished it was served with classic Collard Greens instead of the Cabbage ( too sweet) ! Our servers were top notch and did an excellent job keeping us happy! Can’t wait to try brunch! Cheers

I just had a group of professional women in business dinner for 8 and our experience was outstanding. The restaurant is so beautiful, warm and such a unique space. It was a beautiful night even in December so it was wonderful to be able to experience the open roof. The service was perfect and truly the food, cocktails and wine 10/10. I cannot say enough great things! Redbird’s wow factor and wonderful and consistent service will make it a restaurant I entertain at for years to come!

Make a reservation now. Don’t delay. One of my brunch spots in the city. Duck confit chilaquiles + pumpkin French toast + Redeye from the bar = impeccable culinary experience. Returning soon.

Loved both the space and the food.We had booked the lounge area which turned out to be a bad decision for daytime dining, however the staff were very accommodating and moved us to the main dining room filled with bright daylight and similarly well designed and decorated space. The food was delicious and so was the service. Would definitely recommend this venue.

We are regulars. Food was excellent as always. HOWEVER....We did not like (see below) seeing yet again a very unclassy enforced 5% surcharge added to our bill at the end of our evening. It essentially shames a patron into an additional 5% tip-- since no one in their right mind would ask to have such removed-- as it puts them in a terribly awkward or uncomfortable position by default. Red Bird should simply pay their staff well, raise or adjust their pricing accordingly to reflect such as a cost of doing business, and let the market determine to support them or not. But this is just a terrible hospitality offense that should be eradicated in an otherwise classy and great establishment. "A 5% service charge will be added to each guest check to ensure competitive industry compensation, as well as health and medical benefits, for all of our valued full time team members. In support of this initiative, the entirety of the charge is retained by the company. If you would like this charge removed, please let our staff know. Thank you for dining with us and supporting our staff."
