It was very good - the eggplant was fresh, the tomato sauce nicely spiced, and the portion (eggplant and pasta) was good-sized. Chocolate cake for desert was a treat. Service was excellent. Our food came relatively quickly, and our server checked on us several times during the meal. We've been going to the Earle for years, and keep coming back. The food and service are very consistent. The one thing that can vary is the noise level. On nights when it is crowded, if there's a boisterous table for six nearby, it can be hard to appreciate the quiet jazz that's playing.
