Restaurant Martin is the embodiment of a of a 20-year dream to create the perfect balance of refined and comfortable. Chef Martin Rios, and his wife, Jennifer, envisioned a certain ambiance where people from the community as well as Santa Fe’s many visitors could enjoy Chef Rios’ award-winning progressive American cuisine. This family-owned restaurant caters not only to tourists, but to a large and loyal local clientele. Chef Rios has been repeatedly honored for his innovative and pleasing combinations of flavors, colors and presentation. His unique style emphasizes fresh, local produce and organic meats and poultry, and reflects not only Southwestern and Asian influences but also his classic training in French technique. His list of accolades include the following: Finalist in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022 for the James Beard “Best Chef of the Southwest” Award Semi-finalist for the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 James Beard “Best Chef of the Southwest” Award.

    Our favorite restaurant in town! I can't imaging any other chef who is better. The courses were creative, unique, and DELICIOUS.

    This is our first time after many years to dine at Restaurant Martin. The attention to detail was impeccable. We started with the assorted breads and Caesar salad. The salad was good, but not you usual Caesar…loved the rolled effect with the cucumber. The nightly special of the Barramundi with the mushrooms and leek medallions was amazing delicious. The lamb chops were ample and flavorful. Loved the truffle macaroni and cheese as a side.

    This is a good restaurant which locals should experience, once. Historic building in downtown location with difficult parking. Friendly attentive staff who afforded us an unusual amount of alone time given we were first in the restaurant and dining alone for the first half hour. Cocktails were delicious and well crafted. The menu is unarguably sophisticated with a delightful combination of flavors, if not rather short on options. The presentation was carefully executed with mastery, at the sacrifice of practicality and quantity. I was left surprised and disappointed that with only one other seated table, they cold not do better than a lukewarm piece of gristle in an adorable little piece of tenderloin juxtaposed against a dry smear of mashed potatoes on a cold plate. Thoroughly enjoyed our responsibly portioned deserts however. Good to experience, but will not expect an encore showing.

    Quiet and cozy. Food beautifully presented. Interesting vegetarian tasting. Pan seared shrimp was delightful. Due to cold weather the lovely outside patio was closed . Look forward to returning to dine alfresco.

    Restaurant Matin Is equal in variety, quality and is more creative than any of Santa Fe's" big name" restaurants. Martin is all about excellent food, not luxurious decor, fancy menus or reservations cachet. Its many awards are a testimony to what really counts.

    Excellent experience - friendly bartender serving local spirits. Food & wine outstanding. It's fine dining, but worth the price. Wish we were here longer, would definitely return.

    Our server and all wait staff and helpers were excellent. Bar Tender went out of his way to make us a cocktail not on the menu. Lovely experience as usual.
