Restaurant Rebirth; Where the Locals Eat! - is one of OpenTable’s 2018 "50 Best Southern Restaurants in America”, and features regional Louisiana cuisine perfectly balancing fresh local seafood and bold Cajun flavors. South Louisiana native Chef Ricky Cheramie honed his culinary skills in some of New Orleans' top restaurants including K-Paul's, Emeril’s, and Commander's Palace. He was also influenced by time spent cooking in Boston and Maine, including a stint at the renowned Grill 23. Chef Cheramie creates food for the soul such as Country Gumbo, Blackened Scallops with Maque Choux, and Mississippi-Style Barbeque Pork Belly. Located in the historic Warehouse District, Restaurant Rebirth's intimate dining room, with exposed wood beams and original brick, showcases local art and is the perfect destination to enjoy craft cocktails, as well as a variety of spirits, wines, and local beers.

                                            Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant from the impeccable service to the delicious food. Make sure to start off with the gumbo!!

                                            Food was good. Had fish of the day and colleague had pork. Portion was good for the price. Restaurant was very cold and they were out of Abita amber. All in all an okay place dinner. Just don’t have it so cold

                                            The good news is they can cook steaks and seafood to perfection. Now the bad news is all the side are little splashes of nothing. We tried the gnocchi, green beans and maque choux I don’t recommend any of it. The ambience needs improvement. The art work is mismatched and walls need attention. They sat us under a leaking vent that my husband wiped down so he didn’t get it on his food.

                                            This was a wonderful experience I was tuned into by other Open Table reviews. The General Manager, Riley, greeted me warmly after noting my Open Table reservation. He sat me at the bar in a pre designated seat. For the most part, Jessepi the bar tender took my order and engaged with me so nicely. He was in-charge of the excellent music selection playing softly in the background. I ordered the Gumbo, Brie Salad and a Bread Pudding dessert besides two Chardonnay glasses. Tip and all $90. I arrived shortly after opening. Table seating filled in quickly and I saw one couple, seeming without a reservation, gently refused with alternative suggestions nearby. Based on what I saw, reservations seem a must. If there were more than 14 tables I’d be surprised—overall it’s not a big space. I am looking forward to bringing my wife when we return at Mardi Gras time.

                                            Outstanding dining experience. Both who ordered steaks were thrilled with the prep, sear and flavors. Fish of the day Mahi perfectly done and side gumbo super flavorful. Great cocktail list, try the Smokehouse and enjoy.

                                            Caught them on a bad night. Overall, a poorly run restaurant, drastically understaffed for a full house. Food was ok but overpriced. Over an hour wait for food. Check delivery only took 30 seconds!
