Restaurant Rebirth; Where the Locals Eat! - is one of OpenTable’s 2018 "50 Best Southern Restaurants in America”, and features regional Louisiana cuisine perfectly balancing fresh local seafood and bold Cajun flavors. South Louisiana native Chef Ricky Cheramie honed his culinary skills in some of New Orleans' top restaurants including K-Paul's, Emeril’s, and Commander's Palace. He was also influenced by time spent cooking in Boston and Maine, including a stint at the renowned Grill 23. Chef Cheramie creates food for the soul such as Country Gumbo, Blackened Scallops with Maque Choux, and Mississippi-Style Barbeque Pork Belly. Located in the historic Warehouse District, Restaurant Rebirth's intimate dining room, with exposed wood beams and original brick, showcases local art and is the perfect destination to enjoy craft cocktails, as well as a variety of spirits, wines, and local beers.

                                            Great food, slow service with no checking in for drink refills, etc. Moldy, mildew smell very strong while sitting at the back tables.

                                            Excellent food and service from gumbo, fried oysters, drinks then main courses. Steak was one of best ever. Bread pudding and unique creme brûlée did not disappoint.

                                            As you will see from my account, I am a frequent guest with Rebirth since 2021. I bring friends and business clients to this establishment. Unfortunately, this was my worst experience BY FAR. The ambience was ruined by a large and LOUD party. The food was late and overcooked. The pork chop was dry and overcooked. The onion rings where burnt. The green beans look like they where the bottom of the point. The compllmentary expedited bread pudding was never delivered after 15 minutes. It was my worker dining experience by FAR. My quest from DC where very disappointed and I was embarrassed.

                                            Took 45min for our first drink to arrive…waitress kept coming to ask us for our order (which felt rushed)and every time we had to say we’d like to have our cocktail first and decide. After the third time she finally said the slip got lost…now can I take your order. Food was fine.

                                            Had high hopes as we ate at the sister restaurant the night before… but it couldn’t compare. Fish was overcooked and prices were high. Folks were pleasant but didn’t go out of their way. Needed some more flavor!

                                            Gumbo was the BEST I have ever had. Pork chop was enough for two. DELICIOUS (order that first as it takes awhile) Everything was delicious!!! I would definitely go back.
