Chef Billy, is as adept at guiding the novice through the traditional yet contemporary menu as meeting and exceeding the expectations of the sophisticated and experienced dining. Steeped in the tradition, yet anything but conventional, the concept from the 'Kyūto' zen garden base. The reinterpretation of traditional Japanese architectural elements features color and ornaments symbolic to Kyūto. We thoughtfully choose all the tableware, decorated and produced in Kyūto, ranging from antiques to modern designs. 'Many varieties of fish lack desired flavor when served too soon after the catch, hence the need for aging raw sashimi. Dry-aging enhances both taste and consistency by reducing moisture and breaking down the protein, resulting in umami flavor and tenderness.' - Executive Chef Billy

We told the server one of us had a seafood allergy, which he understood. My friend ordered the bento box with chicken and steak, but they still included imitation crab, which is made out of fish. Once we alerted the server that they had included seafood, he tried to look into this oversight and simply said it was a mistake. We received no apology from the manager or any communication from them. It was lucky that we caught the fact that it was seafood before he ate it because it was fried and kind of hard to tell. We understand that mistakes happen, but allergies should be taken seriously. And if a mistake does occur, an apology from the manager is the bare minimum. I really expected more from a place that charges upwards of $25 per sushi roll.

Amazing food, but service was bad. We waited more than 20 minutes to get a server until we complained with the hostess. Once he arrived it improved but you could still tell they were understaffed or disorganized. Big 5 stars to the food quality, it was amazing.

Waited 15 minutes before we got up and asked for water because no one ever came to our table. Sushi was mediocre. Ordered the sashimi b which was to be 16 pieces of chefs choice. We received double of 8 pieces and the sushi b we ordered came as the exact same pieces on rice. The ambience was great on the water but everything else was disappointing.
