   The food was hot but that’s about it. I had shepherds pie with buttered cabbage and bacon. I think k they forgot the bacon and the shepherds pie was made with pulled lamb which isn’t what I expected. Also had mini pudding and coffee and the pudding came out in a micro saucepan! It was meant to be a fruit crumble but got mainly crumble and the. The custard didn’t come so had to wait. Positives was the coffee was nice and staff ok. I did mention how disappointed I was but was just told sorry. Won’t be back or recommend.

   Really nice food. We had the chicken schnitzel and beef burger. Only thing that could have been better was the service - was a bit on the slow side considering how little tables were there at the time to be served. But will definitely be back!

   Great relaxed ambience , attentive staff & fabulous food! Impromptu visit for lunch midweek, food was so good we decided to come back 3 days later for Mother’s Day… We weren’t disappointed, all 5 courses tasted amazing!

   We shall not return to this pub because of the appalling service. We booked a table, arrived in time and ordered our meal and it was nearly 50 minutes before it was served. Don't go to this pub if you are elderly and in a couple because other tables will get served before you, as happened with us. We were just on the brink of leaving and cancelling our order.

   A lot of the food wasn’t cooked to what it should of been, slow service, needs more weekend staff, strange the pub wasn’t that busy either, out of the seven of us not one will be returning shame because it’s really a nice pub.

   Our first time at the Owl and we were so impressed. People often claim to have a special welcome and outstanding service but this was real and genuine. A place with a good heart. There is great variety of very tasty food on offer; everything from a. sophisticated dinner menu which rivals the West End in variety and quality to an eminently reasonably priced lunch menu. No wonder the Owl is busy : the management has got things absolutely right !

   Friendly staff, great choice of ales, food served efficiently. Great quality, value for money. Daughters first visit and she 'thoroughly enjoyed that'. Lovely ambience across restaurant and bar settings.thank you, we will be back soon.

   Lovely food only let down by very slow service from sitting at our table it was over an hour to get food .

    Fabulous evening at the Owl for dinner and then we joined in with really good pub quiz. Food is always good, cooked to order and staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
