Monopol Restaurant means polish cuisine served with an innovative approach and in unusual arrangements. The menu is seasonal and served a la carte, refers to old, traditional recipes giving them both an authentic and contemporary character. The nobility of the interior and the variety of flavours offered in the restaurant will make the moments special and stay in memory for a long time. Monopol's history spanning over a century now, is closely linked to pre-war Poland. The restaurant being the most luxurious venue back then, witnessed lavish banquets, numerous balls and social gatherings during the elegant 20s and the crazy 30s. This atmosphere remains till this day and completes the amazing culinary experience.

                            Z przykrością muszę stwierdzić, że jakość obsługi (mimo widocznych dobrych chęci) bardzo się obniżyła w porównaniu z przeszłością. Przykład: pytając czy jest wino Primitivo, otrzymałem odpowiedź, że nie ma, ale jest prosecco lub szampan...

                            The old adage is that "you never find a good restaurant within a hotel," but not the one inside the Monopol Hotel in Wroclaw, Poland! Nearing the end of a business trip, my wife and I ate at the hotel's 6th-floor location and had a fabulous meal served by a thoroughly attentive waitstaff member. The ability to have a waitstaff member fluent in English was a big contributor to our dining selections and the overall dining experience. The evening dinner began with the uncorking of an excellent 2021 bottle of Chardonnay and an appetizer tray of grilled green asparagus with aioli sauce, bread & breadsticks. The main courses were Chargrilled rib eye for me and Dover Sole with beurre blanc sauce for my wife. Both offerings were accompanied by dauphine potatoes and mixed green salads. Our waiter seemed focused on our needs and made positive suggestions to assist our proper selections for the meal. Although my wife demurred, for dessert, I had the pavlova with strawberries and lemon curd. What a delightful and delicious surprise it was! We enjoyed an excellent meal and attentive service and are happy to recommend the restaurant at the Monopol Hotel.

                            Bardzo smaczne wyjątkowe jedzenie- czosnkowy krem z halibutem, dyniowa lasagna, pyszne desery. Miła obsługa. Kameralnie, piękne wnętrze.

                            Sehr durchschnittlich: wenig Auswahl, Speisen nicht herausragend, hoher Preis. Ambiente kühl und seelenlos, Service in Ordnung. Wir hatten uns sehr auf das Restaurant gefreut, waren aber enttäuscht. Wir haben andernorts viel besser und gemütlicher diniert.

                            While the main course was quite good, the rest of the experience was very poor. There were only three tables occupied that evening, including ours, yet the waiter continually ignored us in favor of serving and attending to the two tables of Polish guests. It took 35 minutes to receive the bottle of wine we ordered, which came after we had received an initial bread basket and our first course. Also, to get anything, we had to turn to try and catch the waiters attention — including water and napkins. Initially, we thought it was just a coincidence that the waiter was taking a bit longer, but the two tables who were seated after us received their wine, bread, and courses before us. I’m not sure if the bigotry was directed at us because we we two gay men or because we were not Polish, but whatever the case, I will certainly not dine at the restaurant again.

                            This was the first time we visited this restaurant. I was looking for an elegant place to celebrate my birthday, and based on the description and rating, we chose Monopol. The inside restaurant looked very nice with elegant design, our waiter was very professional and attentive, dishes were delicious, good quality and served in professionally. Unfortunately, this place didn't meet our atmosphere expectations. There was quiet as in a grave and it ruined everything, no music at all, so other people could hear what we were talking about, it was very awkward and weird, plus echo. We were expecting at least classic music but not silence. There was also flying a mole near our table and finally, it appeared on my friend's glass. It was so confusing so we just wanted to finish our meal and go. Would be great if the restaurant take into account my experience and turn on music in the hall to create more relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Based on my experience (if we speak about daily life) I guess this place would be very good for business meetings, work or for situations when you want to eat calmly in a quiet place.

                            Excellent, attentive wait staff. Diverse menu. Dishes exquisitely prepared and attractively presented. Quite pricey, but worth it--especially to celebrate an occasion.
