    We had a 6:30 reservation and was packed when we arrived. We were seated around 6:40 and sat at the table without being acknowledged at all until 7:25. The hostess finally came over and apologized but there was nothing she could do. It was clear they were understaffed and overbooked. We decided not to stay. Was our first time there. Unsure we would try again

    It was my husband’s early birthday dinner, which I stated on my reservation and my daughters mentioned directly to our server when we got there. Our appetizers were cleared but not our appetizer plates, my water glass sat empty for most of the meal, my daughters were never asked if they wanted another soft drink. My husbands second drink too over 20 mins to arrive. We had planned to have some wine with dinner but our server didn’t really return once our entrees were provided. Food was good, not great, but everyone (but me) enjoyed their meals. We ordered dessert and not a single recognition of happy birthday; verbally or with a candle. Ambience was beautiful. Would have appreciated better service.

    Service was terrible. Didn’t see a waiter or waitress for 10 minutes after seating. Finally saw a waitress, she took our order and then came back once the entire experience, where we asked for the check. Never refilled drinks, never asked how things were. We told her it was my birthday and she didn’t acknowledge it or do anything’s We had to flag down another waitress to get water. Terrible experience and never going back

    Great food and atmosphere. It was a bit loud when we first arrived but they adjusted the music level on request. We will certainly be back!

    Castello is a great date night restaurant! We love the grilled octopus appetizer, and the oysters are fresh! The specials are also our go-to choice for entrees; we love the branzino and ALL the pasta dishes! Service is always 5 stars!
