Home of the Wet Woody ® and storybook sunsets, Riva Grill is Tahoe South’s premier lake front restaurant located in the Ski Run Marina. The 3,000 square foot deck overlooking Lake Tahoe comfortably seats 200 guests and is a dining experience that is second to none. Floor to ceiling windows in the two-story restaurant provide an equally epic view of the Sierras and Lake. Since 1998, visitors and locals alike have flocked to Riva for the best food and service in town. Try the bacon-wrapped filet and scampi with Point Reyes Bleu Cheese butter, the renown grilled or blackened fish tacos with apple-jicama slaw and micro cilantro or any of their home made wood fired pizzas, to name just a few. Additionally, a visit to Riva Grill would not be complete without trying their world famous Wet Woody ® signature cocktail. The rum and fruit juice blended drink will leave you with cold hands and a warm heart and certainly wanting one more.

There is always plenty of parking available at Riva Grill. Complimentary valet parking is provided, lunch and dinner, seven days a week during the summer season. Additional parking is accessible in the lot adjacent to Riva Grill where the first 90 minutes of parking is complimentary.
Public transit
Riva Grill is centrally located in South Lake Tahoe where Ski Run Blvd. meets Lake Tahoe. We are one mile west of the Heavenly Gondola; on the south side of highway 50, and a quick ride by taxi cab, Blue Go transit or bicycle. Many folks choose to walk here on warm summer evenings and return by taxi. Plenty of bicycle and kayak parking available.

Beautiful views! We enjoyed fish tacos and fish and chips - huge servings! Service was excellent by Santiago and his trainer.

Our server was fabulous but sorry I forgot his name - hard for me to remember names but he was wonderful! The food: lobster deviled eggs, peppered tenderloin & salmon & pecan bread pudding & drinks.were all spectacular! 2nd time there the past few years.. delicious both times. The only thing disappointing was that we chose Rivas since live music was to be there so we chose a timeframe they were supposed to be playing but they never played- I guess win some lose some. But all were super wonderful from the hostess to where we were seated -upstairs overlooking dock & beautiful sunset. Very happy & definitely will be back next time in Tahoe and absolutely would recommend 1,000%!

Food wasn’t good at all. Ribeye was chewy and dry and I had ordered medium well. Found hair in my wedge salad. Cocktails were the only things decent. I do NOT recommend this place and will not be returning.

Our host was lovely and very helpful with drink / food suggestions. Unfortunately for a California restaurant they do not have very many options that are vegan friendly which was surprising. Also sadly our burgers were raw in the middle, if they had been properly cooked our rating would be much higher, but very expensive restaurant to have poor quality food. There needs to be a change in quality control… also maybe it’s their winter menu.. because we had gone here the summer before and loved it so that is why we came back with friends, and it was quite an embarrassing / disappointing experience other than the nice ambience and waitress. Live music and water views are also always a nice touch that saves this place from a worse rating

Incredible view of Lake Tahoe, all staff we dealt with were all very friendly and helpful in selecting menu items. It was our first time visiting Lake Tahoe we highly recommend!
