Grilled steaks and chops cooked over pecan wood fires, fresh fish, daily blackboard specials, small plate appetizers and an extensive wine by the glass selection. Dimly lit with eclectic music, sit at the upstairs bar and watch your food being prepared, dine in our over-sized booths or make your way downstairs and hang at the cellar bar. The enchiladas and quesadilla were delicious… however the pasta dish was way over salty and we returned this meal. We were asked to give up our table as next party was waiting- but not offered drink or dessert in bar area for this request!?

                                                                                                                                            Came here for my son’s birthday and had a great meal. I had the chile rellenoa, he had the skewers, and our other two guests had salads and baked potatoes. The whole meal was top notch. I’m definitely going to come back for a steak. Had a few margaritas that were excellent as well. Service was a little slow as I suspect they were a bit understaffed but that did give us time to talk. Marginally annoyed by the requirement to valet park.

                                                                                                                                            We love this place! Been coming here for years. Moved out of town and wanted to meet up with our friends that also moved away. We thought this would be a perfect place. It was! One critic; Miss the old Rokerij menu. Where is the salmon? Brussels sprouts? Menu really changed to be Richardsons 2.0 :( We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

                                                                                                                                            The food and waitstaff service were very good. Everyone was having a good time up to the point where the hostess approached our table and said that we would need to leave because they were very busy and needed to turn the table. I could not believe what I was hearing. She explained that the Rokerij has an internal, unpublished 2-hour table turn policy and we were approaching. It was recommended that our table of 4 move to the bar despite there being no space. The manager was called over and she claimed to “be on our side” as we were clearly not finished with cocktails and professed some blather about this being a “teaching moment” for the hostess and for us - the customer. This unnecessary incident really ruined the experience - especially for our guests for whom it was their first time at the restaurant. To add a sense of the bizarre, the manager argued with my guest insisting that she had seen and served him before. Weird. I guess that if you plan on dining at the Rokerij, expect to be rushed through a pricey meal. Probably a 5-star experience without this silly and unnecessary self-inflicted injury to themselves at the Rokerij. Management response in handling the situation was unsatisfactory.

                                                                                                                                            Our server/bartender, Ana, was amazing. So sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was INCREDIBLE. The drinks were delicious. Ambiance was everything! 10/10 overall. And definitely will be back and I hope they have the scallops again because the dish is too delicious to only be a special!

I deducted a star because they did not have many options for Starch and vegetable that could be made dairy free. Then, when I went to order the only starch I can order due to allergy was the baked potato…. Which was fine. After 5 min after placing order I was told they were out of the standard baked potato so my only option was to order one of the other 3 vegetables that could be made dairy free and have 2 vegetables with my sirloin. This was highly disappointing. However, the steak was very well cooked and the vegetables turned out great as well. Considering I put the dairy allergy in the reservation comments and the waiter knew about it when we sat down, it would have been nice to have known about the lack of starch options at the time of being seated and definitely by the time I was ordering my meal.
