Relaxing atmosphere with Delicious steaks and a perfect old fashioned cocktail. Excellent service! Cannot wait to revisit. Would be great to have a Rothmann on the south shore.

From the hostess to the waiter to the server the service was top notch and the food was amazing. 5 star experience for sure ♥️

While dining for a birthday celebration our table was swarmed by fruit flies, circling and landing on our dishes and food. It got to the point that I had to ask the waiter to cap the wine bottle because the flies were going into it. While he did cap the bottle, he didn’t acknowledge the situation at all. In an attempt to deter the flies, my brother even turned off the small lamp at the center of the table. We were seated near the kitchen, which is even more concerning if that’s where the issue stems from. After paying our bill, I brought the issue to the manager’s attention as we exited the restaurant to avoid making things uncomfortable during our dinner as we were there for two birthdays. However, the manager’s response was disappointing—he asked what kind of flies they were, acknowledged they were fruit flies, and then didn’t offer an apology.

Overall our experience was very good. The ambience was cozy, and we were seated in a large comfortable booth. The service was excellent. Our water glasses were always full. Dirty dishes were cleaned off the table in a timely manner. My wife and I are both cooks, so we are very particular about our food and the preparation and the importance of proper seasoning. The onion soup just did not have the delicious flavor you were looking for in French onion soup the broth was flat. Not 100% sure if they used Gruyere cheese or not . The roasted pear salad was delicious. The baked clams were delicious. The CHAS. Burger was overall good, but I did not appreciate the ultra thick slices of bacon that were very tough to chew and very fatty. I took them off the burger so I could eat it. We both had a nice cappuccino, and we tried the Keylime pie, which was fair.
