Join us at 7,700 feet, mid-way up Bald Mountain, for a spectacular and unique dining experience. With unrivalled views of the Pioneer and Boulder Mountains and accessible only by gondola, the Roundhouse Restaurant has been serving up memorable meals, soul-warming drinks, and stunning views since 1939. Whether you are joining us for a relaxing lunch by the fire or our signature 4-course prix fixe dinner, Roundhouse offers the authentic charm of historic Sun Valley with a spectacular on-mountain dining experience.

Reservations are recommended for lunch and required for dinner. Dinner is a 4-course prix fixe menu for $125 per person. Dinner reservations include gondola access, while lunch reservations require the purchase of a lift ticket or foot traffic pass. Purchase day of at the ticket window or in advance by visiting www.sunvalley.com/tickets-passes.

                                    This iconic Sun Valley mountain restaurant is a must. Good food, outstanding service and incredible service. One drawback is the $30/person lift fee for transport.

                                    Lunch on the mountain is a must. There are choices. My favorite is the Roundhouse. I prefer the bar downstairs. It’s smaller and more cozy. The view through the ice cycles is fabulous. If you don’t ski go anyway, don’t think about the check. It’s expensive to serve food on a mountain. Just enjoy it.

                                    I had a birthday lunch planned at the Roundhouse. I was very excited about it, as my sister and I had not been there. Unfortunately, we ordered the Fish soup. I have a shellfish allergy and had 2 bites of it before I went to find our server and inquire about the ingredients. I was informed that it does indeed contain shrimp! They offered me an epi pen and swap and try the chili. I was too anxious about discovering whether I was going to be symptomatic or not that I didn’t really process what was happening! Anyway, would you please list possible ingredients that could be harmful. My server never asked about my allergies and I was under the presupposition that I was having FISH. Needless to say, I got charged for it and never had any birthday recognition besides a card on the table. I was disappointed none the less.

                                    Kelsey was outstanding…as usual! Service was excellent all around. One person in our party ordered the pork chop sandwich. Unfortunately, it was very fatty so most of it was inedible. Our other three meals were excellent. The women’s bathroom was disgusting. Toilets and sinks were all backed up, which sees to be a fairly common occurrence. Despite the bathrooms and pork chop sandwich quality, we love eating at Averell’s. We will be back in March for our anniversary!
