We had lunch reservations for 6 people on a Tuesday. We were seated quickly. We requested separate checks (business expense purposes) and were given some push back but manager approved it thankfully. We arrived at 11:30am. It was quiet and did not appear busy. We had a table outside on the patio. Scenery was beautiful. We placed our orders quickly. Our meals did not arrive until 12:45. We needed to be back to our conference by 1:30. We thought we’d have plenty of time to get back to our conference with 2 hours allotted but due to the extremely slow meal service we ended up having to run. Waitress was friendly and helpful. She separated our bills perfectly. They do not accept ApplePay. Overall food was good, burger, fries, wedge salads, sushi, lobster bisque, fish tacos, and lobster potstickers.

Great short ribs and pineapple upside down cake. My go to place for that.

Love our waterfront Roy's in San Diego -- and our sincere thanks to Brook for great service! It's always a joy to see her when we dine there. Yummy ahi tuna, lobster roll and sushi day!!

Roy’s has always been a fave for our family! The butterfish entree was delicious and the bread pudding excellent. Just miss their wonderful rolls they used to serve pre Covid, it’s always nice to enjoy some bread with a salad appetizer.

Food was excellent but expensive. Would have enjoyed a bread basket while waiting for appetizers. Couldn’t see well out the dark dirty windows.

It took ONE hour just to get our appetizers on NYE. When the manager came by, he said they weren’t prepared?????? How could you not be prepared for NYE? This is not even close to the other Roys we’ve been to in Hawaii and Pebble Beach.

We booked a table for four with the understanding the regular menu was being offered. We were seated at a table where the air conditioning was blowing very strongly , and asked to be moved. The hostess said she could not move us. Then as we sat down, we learned it was a pre-fixed menu at $135 per person with a limited menu and no sushi. They should have notified us prior to arrival of the limited menu, it was not noted anywhere on Open Table. We selected this restaurant specifically for the sushi.
