Named the 2024 World Culinary Awards: Aruba's Best Hotel Restaurant, Ruinas del Mar was built around the concept of the Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins. It offers an unparalleled ambiance with a koi lagoon, waterfalls, and rooftop bougainvillea garden. The menu features seafood specialties with a fusion of Caribbean and Mediterranean flavors as well as steaks and freshly prepared Italian dishes.                                                                                                                             Overall very nice. This is our second time coming here, and we still love it. One little hiccup was that when we first got there, we were told that the restaurant is not doing reservations through OpenTable anymore. But luckily we still got a great table and were cared for really well. Later the manager came and told us she found our reservation and found out that it was a birthday celebration, so they arranged a nice little dessert for us.

                                                                                                                            This place is outstanding and absolutely beautiful! The setting (either during the day or at night) is breathtaking. We took a walk there during the day to check it out and had dinner end of week at 8 pm. We were seated outside right at the edge near the water and so so many koi fish swimming all around. It was quiet and pleasant! They even give you some fish food to feed the koi and they all go crazy coming up to you to eat!! A violist came out to each table asking if he could play anything for us! Nice touch. Service was excellent and accommodating! Prices are not cheap but all great restaurants in Aruba are costly - but not over the top! Appetizers were the Octopus and Caesar Salad. Delicious. My steak was very tasty and cooked just perfect. My wife's meal of Mahi Mahi with baby clams was just ok. It had a strange flavor to it - could've been the saffron; a bit disappointing! However, dessert (Pear Pastry with Pistachio Gelato) was the best! Recommend this place for a fab night out!

Restaurant did not recognize our Open Table reservation nor the reservation of several others even though confirmations from open table were received at least twice.

                                                                                                                            We arrived at the restaurant on time and checked in. To our surprise we were not listed in the restaurants reservation list. We were told that the restaurant is no longer using open table but they haven’t updated their website. This restaurant is located in the Hyatt. Shame on Hyatt for not updating their website. The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated. The food was average. One of our meals was over cooked and it was taken off our bill.

                                                                                                                            We had a wonderful dinner! The ambiance was tranquil. The furniture and accessories are all stunning . Food was delicious and beautiful presented. Sitting near the pond we got to watch the fish and enjoy the waterfall.

                                                                                                                            Went with a friend. Had shrimp cocktail which was tasty. The ceasar salad was authentic and good, then had really good french onion soup and lobster bisque which were both very good. Main entree was linguine del mar which my friend loved and i had a seafood trio which was also very good. Service was great
