Known as chef to the winemakers, Chef Russell Lowell is a hands on chef. Cutting all our proteins in house during the day and working the grill at night. He creates a menu that considers seasonality and wine pairings. We are a local favorite in the Bothell area. Located in a historic hay barn, we are the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or a date night away from the kids.

Let me start by saying I love this restaurant. We opted to spend our Christmas Eve there and it was less than ideal. I understand that there are folks working on an evening that they would rather be home with family and friends so I am going to cut them some slack. Food was good as always but service was not up to par. Drinks came late and not as requested. Service was slow and not as precise as usual. That being said I will still come back as we have many good memories of several family events.

Disappointed in the wine list. Previously, they had several WA wines but now scarce. They were out of the wine we ordered the first time. No worries, It happens. But they were also out of our second choice. They did recommend a wine they did have and it was good. But The disappointment wasn’t over. My husband and I both ordered the Filet’s, cooked medium. They were medium rare, so we had to send it back. They made it right and it didn’t take long, but after spending over $300 for two, thought maybe they would offer to comp our salads or a free dessert, but neither. we will not be back.

We always enjoy our meals at Russell's. The food is always delicious and the service is friendly and professional. This time though, we had a special treat. Russel himself came out to talk with customers and he sat at our table for a few minutes telling us about how the restaurant came to be.

As always, the food was phenomenal, the service (Dan and Cayden) were attentive, personable, and outright wonderful. Our ONLY issue was that there was an event going on upstairs that was so loud and obnoxious that I couldn't hear my own wife talking right next to me. The staff did what they could, but, as it was explained to us, given the separation between the two components (events and restaurant), the restaurant staff doesn't have any actual control over the events. If you're making a reservation, it is worth calling to ensure that they don't have an event going on upstairs at the same time.

Always a wonderful experience with Fab as our waiter! We had the scallops and filet and they were prepared perfectly.

The server was not attentive. Secondary water/bus person was excellent. Food ok, but mashed potatoes with everything after Thanksgiving was too much, and substitutes cost extra. Ambiance was fair. Fireplace on would have added to the environment, electric light on the table low in battery and not appreciated. Finally, bill arrived with no bill and had to wave down an additional server to finally get attended to. Duck was undercooked as well. Just not very happy with the overall experience.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, fine wine, service and ambience. After a hectic holiday it was the perfect choice for the two of us.
