We had dinner on NYE and this was our first time to this particular location. First of all, the main dining room is beautiful and features floor to ceiling windows all the way around. The service was extremely good and the food was amazing. We started with the small seafood tower and everything was fresh and delicious. For entrees, we had the 16 oz bone-in filet and it was as good as I have had anywhere. The creamed spinach was outstanding as well. Our server threw in an incredible cheesecake at no charge. I would recommend ordering drinks directly at the bar though. The old fashioned that I had initially at the bar was fantastic and served with a cube which is the way it should be. The next one, ordered at the table, was different, but the overall experience was still very good. We will definitely return to this location when in Houston.

We patron this restaurant on special occasions and my husband comes here often to enjoy his favorite cowboy ribeye and Brussels sprouts. Today was my birthday. I made a reservation and specifically asked for a booth in the bar area (we have set at this same table a few times before) because I have a two year old and didn’t want to disturbed anyone that may have wanted a more intimate dinner. The hostess, I believe that her name was Amelia,must have not read the note that I put in my reservation and was about to walk us to the main dining area. I stopped her and reminded her of the area that we asked for in our reservation. When I addressed her of the request she became upset and took us to the requested table reluctantly. She didn’t speak to us on the way to the table and failed to remove the extra silver rolls and tableware from the table, as we were a party of 3. She didn’t even hand us the menus. She just laid them on the table and didn’t respond to us telling her thank you. She even ignored my to year old trying to thank her. No smile or anything. Rude id what she was. Her attitude was not pleasant. My husband had to tell the waiter that it was my birthday as it was not told to him by the hostess. Our experience was made better by our water Rey. He was very kind and accommodating. If it wasn’t for his kind demeanor the rating would have been quite lower. Also the food was great as always. I probably won’t return because the hostess is the first point of contact which sets the tone for the restaurant. She didn’t make my family feel very welcomed.

Had a table reservation, but we ended up sitting at the bar instead everything was so delicious and the bartender was very attentive

My husband and I decided to dine at Ruth's Chris on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, this was by far our worst dining experience of the many we've had here. The food was bland, absolutely no flavor, except the lamb chops, which were not edible due to the saltiness. I should have had them removed from my order but didn't. No need for a togo box for something I'd take home and throw in the trash. My waiter, Jose, claimed that's how they make them, which is not true. To consume that much sodium would be detrimental to ones health. He was nice but tried to dictate everything I ordered, including drinks, which was irritating. Our drinks may as well have been mocktails because the alcohol was nonexistent. I spent $400 for two people (food and drinks) and left feeling extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Mediocre food and service, we will never visit Ruth's Chris again.
