When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore.                                                                     We booked this for my birthday and indicated as such when reserving. My husband also told the waiter it was my birthday. NO acknowledgement from staff during our visit. Reservation was under Liz but their list showed Lou. WTH?

                                                                    It was slow evening on 27th. Noise was very low especially for older diners. Noise is never a significant issue. We ❤️ Sapore. The food is always special. Beautiful presentation and dynamite flavors. The service is personal with attentiveness but not intrusive. Luckily we live in Kirkwood and our car seems to drive there automatically. Jane and Patrick

                                                                    The service is always excellent and the food is great. I know we went at a prime time on Friday night, but it really was quite noisy. Otherwise, a very good experience
