A traditional New England restaurant with modern touches, Scales is located on Maine Wharf next to the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal. Enjoy classic fried seafood as well as locally sourced land fare, while enjoying the view of a quintessential working Maine harbor.

Bar seating is available for dinner service by reservation only. Please check with the host to inquire about bar seating.

Our lounge is open for cocktails and raw bar every day beginning at 4:30pm Sunday - Thursday, and 4:00pm Friday - Saturday.

We are only able to seat complete parties at this time. Please note: our patio reservations are weather dependent. If we need to make a change because of weather, we will call you on the day of your reservation to cancel or reschedule your booking.

Sat a the bar for dinner, first time at the bar. Normally we get a table. Love the bar, energy is different. As always, service solid 15 out of 10. Food, for the most part, fantastic. A bit too much salt on the duck and one of the apps. Highly recommended.

Food was great, overall. The service was very slow. Our server did not tend to us as much as larger parties (probably for a bigger tip), and we decided to not have dessert since we had to ask a bus boy for the dessert menu. By the time our waiter came back, we had to leave for another engagement. Service was slow and disappointing. Food was fine.

The halibut ceviche was amazing! One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We went to celebrate a birthday and it was recognized with a card on the table as soon as we sat down. Such a wonderful experience the room is lovely and the food was outstanding.

Our meals were excellent. All four of us enjoyed the rolls, brown bread , our appetizers, entrees and desserts. We were celebrating a birthday and enjoyed a wonderful evening!

My wife and I have been anxious to try this place for a few years and finally had an opportunity for our anniversary. Everything was great including the quality of food and hospitality. They even had a card on our table wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Great experience.

What amazing experience from a tart to finish. When we arrived they wrote us a note for our honeymoon and congratulations on the wedding! The waitress we had was superb service. Everything was IMMACULATE. Honestly gonna be dreaming about some of the stuff I had here! Highly recommend the oysters, grilled octopus, and the halibut.
