The Scott’s story began in 1976, with the opening of a simple gracious seafood dinner house in the Marina District of San Francisco. Its phenomenal success led to the opening of a new establishment in the heart of down town San Jose. From the moment it opened, Scott’s captured the best of a growing tradition presenting the finest seafood classically prepared in light, crisp, friendly surroundings.

Scott’s Seafood has been a San Jose tradition for over 40 years, with an emphasis on sustainable, healthy food options. Scott’s Seafood has won the People’s Choice Award for its Boston Style Clam Chowder several years running, reaffirming the consideration that goes in to crafting each meal.

Many of our staff members have been with the company for decades, and even have roots to the original Scott’s in San Francisco. Our culinary crew led by Executive Chef Sammy Reyes follows the same traditions & qualities established by the Original Scott’s.

Very good food. The kitchen obviously knows what it's doing. In particular, their "award winning" clam chowder was excellent.

Paella wasn’t cooked properly. It was way too watery like porridge. Seafood did not taste fresh like I had hoped for. Overall experience was fair.

Had a great time dining at Scott’s Seafood! Waitstaff was friendly and service was fast. Food was hot and delicious! This was the first time dining here with our kids and they really enjoyed the food. They actually did not order from the kids menu, which I didn’t even know they had! I am happy to know this is a kid friendly place! Overall, a wonderful dining experience! Thank you, Scott’s Seafood!!

Food was delicious, service was great, but parking was terrible. There is no street parking near the restaurant, so one has to park in a garage a couple blocks away and then walk to the restaurant. Scott's previous location was right adjacent to a parking garage, and it is too bad the nice restaurant moved to this inferior location.

Anniversary occasion, Nice quiet room ,had oysters starter, 12oz lobster tail outstanding. Lamb chops delicious 😋 slightly pricey but well worth the occasion and memories 😄

We arrived a few minutes early for our 5pm reservation. We were told we’d have to wait despite there only being one other couple in the entire restaurant. My meal was not edible due to the alcohol taste. However, the wait staff were excellent! We came away feeling that we were not welcome because of the reception we had in the beginning. It was my husband’s birthday and I wish I’d chosen another restaurant.
