Selanne Steak Tavern, owned by Anaheim Duck legend Teemu Selanne and located in a quaint, historical home built in 1934, features an upscale casual neighborhood tavern and a traditional steakhouse. In addition to the absolute best steaks in Orange County, the Tavern offers great burgers, small plates, salads and appetizers as well as an extensive world class wine list, great specialty cocktails and craft beers. Absolutely loved our experience at Selanne’s. We came to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and they made us feel so special. From our initial drink at the bar to the special dessert and card, we were warmly greeted, interacted with and taken care of. Our dinner service was amazing and will forever be a fond memory. Hope to be back again someday! With love, the Gibsons

I’m not sure what has happened here - this used to be a favorite spot but the food was not that great. Steak had to go back a couple times due to under-cooking. The Mac and cheese that’s always been a favorite was not that great. And you used to be able to get bread for free and now you have to pay $10 of you want bread with your meal! It was very expensive and food wasn’t ok. We are bummed because we are locals too but I don’t think we will be back anytime soon! Temu we want to support you but we were disappointed unfortunately!

If you want a quiet intimate dinner ask to sit in the Library - if you want an energetic dinner sit in the bar area. Our server Jay was terrific!

I took my husband for his 65th birthday. Our server Jay was very nice and very knowledgeable. The potato and leek soup was very tasty, as were our steaks, the baked potato, mushrooms and broccolini. Even though we didn’t order a desert, my husband was presented with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce. Our meal was really enjoyable. Thank you Salannes.

Beautiful restaurant. Ordered a filet and 14 oz ribeye. Flavour for both was amazing. Filet was perfect, but the ribeye was much thinner than most Ive had in other restaurants and a little gristley (if that’s a word). I don’t think it was actually a ribeye now that I think about it. Service was good but the hostess was not friendly or welcoming at all which was an unfortunate way to start the evening.

Overall, a good experience. We had requested outdoor dining but received indoor dining with no explanation for the change. Service was kind, but our water glasses sat empty/nearly empty a few times for a while before they were replenished. Scallop appetizer was incredible, as was the mac & cheese and broccolini. Uneven cooking on the steak, with some incredibly chewy and tendon filled pieces (unexpected for wagyu) and some perfectly cooked pieces. We would come back to try some other cuts of steak and sides.
