The name “Sessions” comes from the British term “session beers”. During WWI in England, munitions workers had long breaks often taken at the pub where they enjoyed pints of ale with lunch and lively conversation.

Sessions has a unique partnership with Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. Chef receives deliveries from the Ranch of their fruits, vegetables, herbs & olive oil. The meats and seafood served at Sessions are always naturally raised and sustainably harvested. With these ingredients, Chef creates refined and approachable dishes which reflect a sense of the place.

The overall setting was Average. Not what we expected. Once was okay, but I probably won't return. Not our cup of tea

Service was slow. Busboy had an attitude. Food was not so good. only good things are that parking convenience and location/ambient in presidio,

Small menu but well prepared. Nothing creative about the dishes. We go for convenience (easy parking and very accessible from both Marin and the peninsula).

Sessions is one of our go-to restaurants for high-quality, expertly prepared, delicious food. We love the setting either indoors or out. For beverages, there is lots of variety with Lucas's French, Italian or Californian wines and a full bar. The short ribs with the polenta cake, Jerusalem artichokes, cranberries and sweet potato puree was the stand-out dish for us this visit. It's a neighborhood gem!

Our lunch was perfect from start to finish-excellent service and some of the best salads we've ever tasted! Can't wait to try it again.

The atmosphere inside is a little sterile / cafeteria tables, but we had a booth. The food though was amazing.

Always good service starting with the receptionists at the door ! And the servers are attentive ! Good variety on the menu. Always something healthy with salads and vegetables !
