Shaker & Spear is all about seafood paired with fresh, regional ingredients. We invite you to enjoy a meal in a neighborly atmosphere set among one of Seattle's coolest neighborhoods, Belltown. Shaker + Spear features market fresh, decidedly innovative fare focused on local sourcing and sustainable fishing. We are a restaurant favorite of visitors seeking a respite from a busy day of shopping at nearby Pike Place Market or walking along the Puget Sound.
-We have a 10 minute grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 10 minutes after your reservation time.
-PARTIES OF 5 OR MORE: Please call the restaurant to book at (206) 826-1700. Our large party cancellation policy of parties of 5+ is $30 per person if there is a cancellation within 24 hours or the party is a no show. Reservation will not be held if no credit card information is provided.

Outstanding service, food, ambience. Cuisine was fresh, creative seafood. Incredibly vast wine cellar. One of our new favs in SEA.

The food was excellent! Our party of 4 was was seated at a very small table, should have really been a two top. As soon as we asked to have our large water glasses removed to make room for our appetizers, cocktails and entrees, our service staff appeared to be defensive and I somehow felt that by trying to make ourselves more comfortable I offended the wait staff. Other than the awkwardness, I can’t say enough about the food. The Scallops were the overall favorite.

I have visited Shaker + Spear on many occasions when I am headed on my way to a show at the Moore Theater across the street. The food and the feel of the place have always been “just right”, as I begin my evening of entertainment! Having been a vegetarian for 35 years, it is always wonderful to find a restaurant that can satisfy my carnivorous companions as well as my own dietary preferences, and do it with variety and excellent quality!

Terribly slow service pre show at the Moore. Twenty minutes to get drinks. At least we were warned that it would take more than 45 minutes if we wanted steak. Too many mixed flavors on one plate tells me that they’re trying to stretch where maybe they should scale back to solid basics.

The wait staff was friendly, the food was just slow to come out. I was surprised that the food wasn't very good at all - although my companion's scallops were done well. I ordered the grilled octopus that was so chewy I literally thought I was going to have to spit it out. After chewing and chewing and chewing, I finally managed to swallow it. I also ordered their prawns - which not only came with a fried coating, but were vastly overdone - and therefore quite tough. And this is supposed to be a seafood restaurant.

Everything was fantastic except the food unfortunately. A lot of thought went into the atmosphere, and the standard of service, but it was sadly lacking in the food. We ordered the prawns as our appetizer, and they were oddly chewy. The foccacia bread was cold and stale. The risotto was cooked unevenly, but the seared scallops were great! The skin on the salmon was very tough, but thankfully the body was not dry. The cocktails were wonderful, and all of the servers were so kind! The food was the only miss sadly.

This restaurant has a nice menu and lovely ambience. Food was nicely prepared although my salmon was too plain and needed a sauce, and the veggies were under cooked for my taste. The chef and waitress went out of their way to work with food allergies in our party which was great. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable but was not attentive and kept forgetting things, like asking one person how they would like their steak cooked, but not the other; and pouring one glass of wine and not the other. We also didn’t get our entree for 1.5 hrs after we arrived b/c she didn’t take our order for over 30min among other things. Also a mix up with salads which she kindly comped….Would I come back? Yes, I would give it one more try.
