   My wife and I attended Shaws for our wedding anniversary. Right from the jump, we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary. At this point we thought it couldn’t go better. Far from the case (from a service standpoint). Our meal, start to finish, took over two hours. Now I’ve been in this industry over 20 years and understand that on a Friday night, ambiance is key and you aren’t keen on rushing people out. But read the table. If the guest is ready to place an order (menus down) or is finished with the meal (plates stacked) move on. We had an extremely absentee waiter, I absolutely will not share his name as that is not fair to him, people have their share of off days. But as anyone knows, a restaurant lives and dies with its service. And our experience was squandered by the service, or lack thereof.

    My husband loved the walleye. Calamari was very good. Key lime pie was delicious. Best we have ever tasted. Waiter was attentive and pleasant.
