Shaw's Crab House is Chicagoland's Premier Seafood Restaurant. Reservations made for "Bar" seating will be for our casual Oyster Bar, reservations made for "Standard" seating will be in our more formal Main Dining Room and reservations made for our "Outdoor" will be on our patio.
All reservations are limited to 2 hours of dining.
Shaw's Crab House offers a unique dining experience focusing on seasonal fresh seafood, made to order sushi and our signature Alaskan King Crab Legs. Our reputation relies on quality ingredients prepared in a straight forward style, with crisp, professional service.

I enjoyed my meal, the calamari was crispy & the steak was very tender. The pumpkin pie was amazing, great flavor. Overall, great thanksgiving dinner.

Excellent, excellent! So glad we chose to dine here for our wedding anniversary. Service and food were excellent. Our server was Barna and we loved him. He helped us with our food and drink choices. I loved the margarita served in a martini glass. Everything fresh. Our starters were the Oysters Rockefeller and clam chowder (best we’ve ever had). Everything was So fresh. Both entrees were delicious. The seasonal scallops ( amazing, tender, buttery, creamy and melt in your mouth ). The king crab legs were perfectly cooked and the way they cut the shell made it very easy to eat. We finished off with the dessert sampler plate. Perfect portions for two to share. We hope to come back soon and have the same server and the same experience. 11.28.24

All my food was great except I didn’t care for the lobster bisque….. didn’t need the carrot strands and a little too sweet for me. fantastic food, ambience and good service , but still a little too pricey for what you get in my opinion.

I hate to write this, but I believe everyone should be aware of the 3% surcharge on your bill for no apparent reason. I noticed it after hearing on a local news report that many local restaurants in the Chicagoland area have decided to adopt a 3% surcharge. We enjoyed our dining experience, but after the 20% tip and about 10% tax on the bill, another dubious 3% surcharge for who nows what is getting to be a bit over the top. I will have to rethink my return. The establishment should, at the very least, make the customer aware of all charges.

The food at Shaw’s just never disappoints. We live in Chicago and usually eat at the River North location but had a friend in town staying in Schaumburg. Great cocktails, food and decor. Excellent service. AND I made our reservation for the wrong day, but they were able to acccommodate us.
