Shaw's Crab House is Chicagoland's Premier Seafood Restaurant. Reservations made for "Bar" seating will be for our casual Oyster Bar, reservations made for "Standard" seating will be in our more formal Main Dining Room and reservations made for our "Outdoor" will be on our patio.
All reservations are limited to 2 hours of dining.
Shaw's Crab House offers a unique dining experience focusing on seasonal fresh seafood, made to order sushi and our signature Alaskan King Crab Legs. Our reputation relies on quality ingredients prepared in a straight forward style, with crisp, professional service.

Wonderful place. Nice cocktails and wines. The menu is good. Nice choices. The petite steak and lobster was perfect. Server Mike was great and attentive. Overall a good restaurant.

Food was wonderful, service was great. Only negative thing was we had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation time but it was NYE.

Amazing experience this evening. Juan helped us with a mixup on my reservation, Debbie our server was warm, friendly, and timed everything perfectly. And most importantly, the food is outstanding. Such a treat to dine at Shaw’s. Hands down, my favorite.

We are in Chicago celebrating Christmas with family. We were long term Chicagoans who are now Floridians. We leave for the second half of our trip on the second. We chose to celebrate NYE at Shaws. Can you think of a better place? We made reservations in advance not wanting to take chances. We both ordered appetizers. I chose one piece of Nigiri tuna while he ordered the garlic shrimp. Both were excellent. We both had the twin lobster tails with creamed spinach. Everything was perfectly prepared and excellent! I had a glass of Cabernet. Don’t get me started by saying I should have ordered white wine with seafood. I prefer red wine during cold weather and white or rose during warmer weather. Culinary wine rules/guidelines be damned. 🤣🤣 We knew we would not be disappointed. Through the years we have chosen Shaws for special events as their service is efficient and the food expertly prepared. I remember the days when restaurants employed “professional servers” who were adults who provided service who were able to support themselves just on their earnings and tips. If you are looking for an inexpensive meal, this is not the place to go. However, if you are willing to pay more for excellent and service, this is your place.

We were treated very well. The food was amazing, tasty and cooked to perfection. We had rib eye with scallops, and crab legs though they are a bit pricey they are worth every penny. Side we had were mashed potatoes and au gratin potatoes both delicious. Dessert was flan and chocolate cake that was amazing. Even though it was New Year’s Eve we never felt rushed to have to leave. We have been now 4 times and will return again.
