Bugsy Siegel’s lust for extravagance set the scene for modern-day Las Vegas. Paying homage to Siegel and his inner circle of original mobsters, El Cortez Hotel & Casino presents food with attitude at the morning, noon and night dining concept, Siegel’s 1941. Siegel’s 1941 offers extensive menus filled with modern twists on classic American standards.

Siegels is normally a really good spot especially for their prime rib special. We come to downtown specifically to eat here. They didn’t have any potatoes other than French fries which was disappointing because their baked potatoes are good and the waiter couldn’t be bothered when asked for help. Still a place I’d recommend, last night was just a weird experience.

3 course thanksgiving dinner was subpar. The spinach salad was the star of the meal. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans were barely luke warm. Apple pie and ice cream were mediocre.

Love this spot for any meal or even just dessert. Grown up atmosphere dining is rare and we make a point to eat here every time we’re in Vegas. Always great food, service etc.

The food was good. The service was fine. I think they could have done something for the atmosphere. It's a wide open dining room. There's no cozy or intimate feeling there. The $20 prime rib is excellent, and a great deal.

We arrived on time for our 7:00 reservation, which the host informed us she didn’t have. The restaurant was fairly empty so after a few trips back and forth she was able to get us accommodated, which we appreciated. Once at the table we noticed that there was no drink menu. When our waitress finally appeared, she wasn’t very friendly, but I inquired about a drink menu and she responded that she can get us anything we want from the bar. I typically like to look at a menu to try specialty cocktails or to order a nice glass (or bottle of wine), but no menu was offered. We all ordered the Prime Rib Special, which was tasty enough and cooked exactly as ordered, so the cooks and the hosts really made this experience bearable. The waitress never came back to check on us, to fill waters, to see if we would like another drink from the bar…

The food and service is always great. I highly recommend the liver and onions. Everything on the menu is great. Prices have increased but it’s still good value as the portions are generous. We always visit Siegel when in Vegas.
