Offering spectacular, picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, Sierra Mar restaurant at Post Ranch Inn is a farm-driven restaurant that celebrates the coastal bounty of Big Sur and our neighboring communities. Our dishes are centered around the dialogue of balance: on the plate, between sea and land, with sustainability always in mind. Selections from our Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine list enhance the inspired cuisine.

We have a family-style lunch experience for $75 per person. Our dinner experience is priced at $175 per person. Lunch and Dinner is available to the general public, however space is limited and reservations in advance are required. The minimum age for guests is 18 years old and pets are not allowed.

Non-hotel guests will be welcomed at the gate house no more than 30 minutes prior to their reservation.

Outstanding and attentive service. Everyone was top notch. Incredible views and restaurant ambience—ours was just a little affected by being seated near some annoying and loud people FaceTiming, which took away from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. We LOVE food, but aren't huge "fancy food" people, so it could most certainly be an "us" problem. We were celebrating a special occasion, so we took a chance, since our favorite restaurant was closed that night. However, we didn't feel like the tastes and flavors of all the food justified the $$$ price. We were hoping for a pri fixe menu but were presented with a more expensive tasting menu instead. We didn't love all the courses and would have preferred having some wiggle room of choices with the pri fixe. This was probably just a one-time experience for us. Neat place to check out, though.

This was an amazing experience. Fabulous setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean on Big Sur. The salad was prepared with freshly sourced greens and vegetables topped off with a home made ranch dressing. It was great. The carrot soup was smooth and elegantly topped off with fresh chopped apple pieces. The fresh striped Pacific Bass was seared to perfection and the flat iron steak was tender and delicious. The apple crunch top desert was exquisite with crema on top accompanied by a slice of dried apple. This is a can't miss experience for the amazing setting and superb food and service.

It was our first time to Sierra Mar. It was exactly as we expected, excellent. The food, service, and atmosphere were superb. The fixed menu did not disappoint. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience for our lunch. The ambiance with the art pieces and the out of this world view is inspiring. But the food left something to be desired. The ingredients were of high quality, made competently, but could have used some more creativity, introducing some new flavors. There were no moments when any of us said wow!
