We are a fresh breath of class and style in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Located in Southern Pines, we offer an atmosphere of relaxed elegance and sophistication, where steak is our specialty. We have an extensive wine cellar featuring 3500 bottles, 20 of which we are pouring by the glass. Please join us between 5pm and 6pm to receive $3 off all entrees and steaks.

The food was delicious. We were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. They really made us feel special. Free picture and complimentary dessert. The staff was so nice, attentive and made sure you had what you needed. Will def be going back! Worth every penny! The filet Mignon was tender and juicy.

Could not hear the music playing b/c the main dining room was so noisy with the chatter of conversations. We asked for the music to be turned up and if it was it was never audible at our booth table until about 1/2 the dining room was emptied. The service felt rushed and the lighting was bright for a a 7p.m.reservation. I was hoping for a romantic Christmas feel with music and meal that was not hurried instead it felt like dining at an average chain restaurant that happened to have great food. It would have easily felt more romantic with the lighting dimmed. I wondered why the open table app asked for the reason for the dinner, I did check ‘date’. I thought maybe the restaurant would use that bit of info to set the atmosphere. In fairness to Southern Prime I asked for a booth which was probably a mistake b/c it overlooked the loud bustling main dining area and provided no intimacy ; there may have been a romantic table in one of the other dining rooms. Our server was nice, the food was delicious, the restaurant is clean and very pretty but, it just did not feel warm and inviting. It felt like we were on display and like they wanted to turn the table as quickly as possible. It was a Wednesday night. Maybe a Friday or Saturday night would be different there. Normally a bar table in any restaurant would provide the atmosphere I was seeking but there was sports playing on the tv in their bar area. I’ll probably go back just not on a date.

Very pleased with our food ... if anything, it arrived a bit quick and we hadn't finished our salads yet. Lovely atmosphere and very good service.

Always a wonderful culinary experience. Service is so authentic and educated. Dining in the wine room is the best!

Always a delight. It took a little longer than usual to get waters and for our server to speak with us, but once we got started everything went smoothly.

Food was all extremely salty. Informed waitress immediately that some was inedible and she did nothing. Half us us didn’t even eat our food because it was so bad.

Me and my girlfriend had our 1 year anniversary and it was the best anniversary I’ve ever had thanks to Southern Prime, like we went there expecting it to be alright for a business casual dinner but it was spectacular!!! The food was magnificent and my girlfriend enjoyed it and she’s a picky eater so thanks again to Southern Prime for making my girlfriend feel good I really do appreciate it and I will be coming back soon it was to good for one night and will return!
